To be really commercially viable, a new product needs to sell enough units to pay back at least all its tooling and development costs. As proof of our ability to create truly financially successful products, the Signco ranges of signboards, mini signboards and wipe clean boards stand out, they have been on the market now for nearly 30 years and are still selling well.

Back in the 1980's, we designed the Scroll range of sign showcases for Signco. It was a great commercial success, one of the first orders equalled the company's entire annual turnover for the previous range and in 1992, Scroll was a finalist in the DBA Product Design Effectiveness Awards.

When Signco wanted a new range of signage for hotels, restaurants and other areas in the hospitality market, they came back to us. After initial research, it became clear that they could gain a commercial advantage over their rivals if their signs could be customised to make them look as if they had been specially designed to reflect a clients brand image.

Constructed from aluminium extrusions with die cast corners, the Signature showcase system is weather sealed for outdoor use, is available in a wide range of sizes, finishes and styles, and has concealed lighting, hinges and locks, giving it a sleek, streamlined appearance, It also incorporates a distinctive oval plaque into which different back lit branding plates can be inserted. The result, a bespoke look at an off the shelf price. For all the products we designed, we supplied detailed tooling drawings and oversaw initial manufacturing of all moulded, die cast and extruded parts.
